Hi, I'm
Jeanette Mooney
I work at the intersection of language, communication strategy and meaningful professional development

Good communication skills aren’t about sounding more impressive. Good communication skills are about making sure your ideas land with clarity, precision and credibility. That’s the work I do.
I work with leaders, specialists and internationally operating teams whose expertise is high, but whose communication doesn’t always reflect it. Often English isn’t your first language, but it is your working language. Sometimes the challenge isn’t language at all, but complexity: navigating high-stakes conversations and competing priorities, and the pressure to sound as capable as you are.
Surface-level fixes and generic language training don’t solve all of that. What does is slowing down enough to think clearly before you communicate – and building communication from that clarity, not from templates.
That’s the promise of my work: to help you communicate complex ideas in a way that sounds like you at your best. Clear, composed and credible, even under pressure.
For over twenty years, I’ve worked where language, strategy and human behaviour meet. I’ve coached executives before critical conversations, helped researchers shape ideas that change minds and supported organisations through transformation across consulting, HR, R&D, CSR, healthcare, sales and marketing.
My background combines linguistics, psychology and media science, with research stints at both MPIs in Leipzig. I worked at a language and communication consultancy for close to two decades, leading key accounts, complex projects and a team of more than forty-five specialists and educators. Today I run theslooow.co and am also the co-founder of KAILO Verlag, a niche publishing and consultancy business that turns complex ideas into clear, memorable narratives.
Across all of this, one thing has stayed constant: people rarely need better words. They need clearer thinking.
That’s why my work blends analytical rigour with empathy. I’m interested in how people think, decide and communicate under pressure. My training as a breathwork facilitator has also deepened this thinking further – clarity is not only cognitive, but emotional and physical.
Whether we’re refining a global proposal, preparing a bi-lateral or a board presentation, designing a workshop or helping you find your voice and defend interests, the goal is always the same: to help you communicate in a way that feels clear, credible and unmistakably you.
Because expertise only works when it can be understood.
